Getting started with Aurora Finspire

A first-time guide to the platform. By the end you will have an account, a connected exchange, market monitoring set up and a clear idea of how to use your dashboard, and you will know what to do if you get stuck. Allow about half an hour, not counting the call with your manager.

Four steps

1

Register your account

Open the registration page and enter your name, email address and mobile number. Choose a long, unique password, and when prompted turn on two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, not just a text message.

Your personal manager then calls to confirm your details. This is also the best moment to ask anything that is on your mind.

  • Use a password manager
  • Save your recovery codes somewhere safe and offline
2

Connect your exchange

The platform trades through an account you hold with a supported exchange. In the exchange's settings, create an API key and paste it into your dashboard when asked.

Give the key permission to read balances and to trade, and never to withdraw. If the exchange offers it, limit the key to our server addresses. You can delete the key at any time to cut the connection.

3

Set up analysis and monitoring

Choose the trading pairs you want the system to follow, such as BTC or ETH against USDT, and the conditions under which it may act. Start with one of the ready-made strategies if you are unsure.

Next, pick your notifications: strategy started, safeguard triggered, deposit received. Fewer alerts are usually better than many you stop reading.

4

Review and manage

The dashboard shows your balance, active strategies, recent activity and the monthly statement. From there you can pause or resume a strategy, change its settings and read the audit log.

Check in briefly each day for the first week. After that, a weekly look is enough for most people.

Things to keep in mind

No tool can guarantee a profit. Markets are volatile, and you can lose some or all of the money you use. The decisions about whether and how much to invest are always yours.

Automation executes rules for you, but you remain responsible for your account, your settings and your API keys. Start with an amount you could comfortably lose, review the costs and keep your login details to yourself.

If something looks wrong

Pause the strategy from your dashboard first, then contact your manager or write to [email protected]. Pausing is always safe and reversible.

A tour of the dashboard

Five areas that you will use most, and what each is for.

Balance

Your account value in pounds, the amount allocated to strategies and anything held back for open positions. Check it at the same time each day so changes are easier to read.

Strategies

Every strategy you have switched on, with its pairs, size limits and a pause button. This is where you change how the system behaves.

Markets

Live views of price, volume and volatility for the assets you follow, including the safeguard indicator.

Activity log

A time-stamped list of everything that happened on your account, from logins to trades. If you want to know why something occurred, start here.

Reports

Monthly statements written in plain English, showing deposits, withdrawals, costs and results, which are useful for your own records and for tax.

Your first week

Day one: register, take the call and switch on two-factor sign-in. Days two to three: complete verification and connect your exchange, still with no money at stake if you wish. Later in the week: if you decide to deposit, start with an amount you would not mind losing, choose one ready-made strategy and leave the settings alone for several days so you can see how it behaves.

Avoid the temptation to change settings after every swing. A strategy needs time to show how it behaves, and constant tinkering makes it hard to know what worked.

Common first-week questions

  • Nothing seems to be happening. A strategy only acts when its conditions are met, so quiet days are normal.
  • The balance went down. Prices move both ways. Read the activity log, and talk to your manager if you are worried.
  • My exchange will not connect. Check that the key has read and trade rights, that it has not expired and that it was copied in full.

Choosing a first strategy

A ready-made strategy is a set of rules that has already been written and tested by experienced traders. Each comes with a plain description of what it tries to do, which pairs it uses, how often it tends to trade and what kind of market conditions it struggles in. Read that last part carefully, because every strategy has weak spots.

As a beginner it is usually wise to pick a single strategy with modest trade sizes, leave it alone for a couple of weeks and read the activity log each day. That gives you a feel for what normal looks like before you decide whether to add anything or change the limits.

Setting limits that suit you

  • Trade size: keep each trade to a small share of the account.
  • Pairs: begin with one or two widely traded pairs, not a long list.
  • Volatility safeguard: leave it on, and ask your manager how it behaves.
  • Alerts: turn on only those you will act on.

Settings reduce some risks but cannot remove market risk.

If you prefer to go slowly

There is no deadline for any step on this page. Some people spend a week exploring the dashboard with no money in the account, and then fund it with the smallest available amount. That is a perfectly sensible way to begin, and your manager will not mind how long you take.

Keep your own records

Download the monthly statement each month and keep it with your other financial papers. If you later need to work out tax on gains, the statement and the activity log give you dates, amounts and costs in one place.

Need a hand at any point?

Your personal manager is the first person to ask, and the Contact page lists every other way to reach us. Please do not worry about asking something that seems basic. Those are the questions we hear most, and answering them properly is the whole point of the service.
